Robyn
Crrtified Bikram Instructor
Four years ago I left my twelve year career as an Engineer and Manager at Sandia National Laboratory to stay home with our two young children. After about a year of being a full time parent, I kind of lost touch with who I am – often only referred to as "Lauren's Mom", or "Halie’s Mom" or even just “Mom” by strangers. Practicing Bikram yoga helped me reconnect to myself and what I needed. After six months of practicing Bikram yoga I knew becoming a Bikram yoga teacher was something I really want to do. I felt almost compelled to leave my home and family responsibilities for nine weeks to complete teacher training in Acapulco and become a Bikram Yoga teacher.
I love being with our daughters as much as I am, and I am fortunate to be able to be a full time mom and teach Bikram yoga while they are in school and still be able to practice. Bikram yoga continues to be physically and mentally challenging for me and the clarity that it provides and the peace I find in that focus and concentration is something I like sharing with others.
